Sit+Sip teams up with the Seattle Art Museum’s SAM SHOP to help you take your home decor from winter doldrums to the fresh energy of spring.

Taking inspiration from the eclectic, artistic and colorful products available at SAM SHOP, and working from real photographs of your home, Piper Lauri Salogga of Natural Balance Home and Office and Sara Eizen of Nest will show you quick, easy ways to perk up and personalize your space for very little cash.

Bring photos of your home, or email your photo now to pr@seattleartmuseum.org to be considered as examples and inspiration in this lively presentation. Photos submitted before March 5 will be entered to win great prizes.

Wine and door prizes from the Seattle Art Museum and SAM SHOP will be up for grabs during the event.

Swap them for some new cool gifts or décor items you’ll love.  Think serving trays, dishware, napkin holders, candles and candle holders, artwork, ornaments, rugs, pillows and throws.

Think of all the waste that is created with every newly produced item you buy this holiday, not to mention the emissions cast against the ozone layer getting it to your doorstep.  So if you want to go easy on the fish in the sea and the birds in the trees, come swap what you already have for what you need.  And, if you’re swapping small items, you can still ride your bike to the event.

Want to make a contribution to a child this holiday season?

20% of all proceeds will benefit Seattle Childrens and all non-swapped items will be donated to SC Thrift Stores.  If you are in the giving mood, you can also bring a $10 gift card for a teen being treated at Children’s.

Be sure to head over to Resolute (2101 Ninth Ave, Suite 100) as they are having an incredible sale before they move to their new space.  New items are being added to the sale every day.  They found some great old gems and collectors items as well as a lot of custom hand blown glass that people can choose and then they’ll build it into a fixture.  Some of these are as low as 55.00.  The deals are pretty incredible!  They will also be having a party/sales event December 3rd and then running their final sale through that weekend.
